Loving Me As Is Means...

Our Purpose
LOVING ME AS IS (LMAI) was created soley to promote healthy attitudes and lifestyle in the lives women. When women adopt an attitude of "Loving Me As Is"; this eventually leads to a spirit of excellence that builds upon being physically, emotionally, mentally, financially and spiritually healthy.
No matter our background, race, economy and social status, shape, size, height, or history. We are beautiful queens, princesses, warriors, friends, but more importantly, we are sisters. We are more than conquerors because we are equipped to do more than just survive a tragic situation. Remember, God said in His word "For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11. NIV. Discover just how valuable you are by following me on this glorious journey as we discover how to love ourselive As Is.
Who We Are
Over the years, we have partnered with local health experts and educators to present workshops designed to equip conference attendees with comprehensive tools that will help aid in their healing process. The tools and knowledge, sometimes in a form of a message, are interconnected to promote positive self-images, self-confidence and a high self-esteem. In essence, we are determined to show women the importance of loving themselves to avoid unhealthy relationships, unhealthy attitudes, self-destructive habits that are reflective of risky behaviors set-up to destroy individuals from the inside out.
As human beings, we tend to protect those things we deem to be valuable to us. So why not see yourself as a valuable vessel, worthy of being loved by you just like how God has loved us, unconditionally.
LMAI is also known for bringing together entrepreneurs who share similar missions, visions and passions aimed at improving women’s overall health in the form of workshop presentations, demonstrations, training, testimonies and dissemination transformative information.
In the past we have focused on natural products, cancer survivors, and awareness about HIV AIDS and the impact it is having on the African American community, especially on Black women. We want to perhaps show the linkage of unhealthy relationships to this growing epidemic.

How To Start Your Basket of Pleasantries
Step One: Open a pack of index cards
Step Two: Allow your mind to wonder and think about wonderful and warm memories — memories that make you smile, laugh out loud, sigh or take a deep breath. Remember only lovely, sweet memories that make you feel good inside and out.
Step Three: Now, start writing down those memories on the index card, one memory for one card.
Step Four: Grab a box or basket and place the index cards (minimum of 10 cards) in it. If you don’t have at least ten memories, then keep thinking and writing. If this still does not work than you have some work to do. That is, make more pleasant memories on purpose, soon!
Step Five: Decorate your basket or box with your favorite photos, colors, etc., add your favorite chocolate, imperishable snacks or items, memorabilia.
Ongoing Steps: Add to your “Basket of Pleasantries at least once a week” until your basket or box over flows. Once this happens create another basket or box to hold your new pleasant memories.
