Is God Your Master Chef?

“For it was I, the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt.  Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things.” –Psalm 81:10, NLT

“He’ll Provide You the Best Things to Eat!”

As we continue to live in this world of ours, we are so busy! Due to us being “so busy,” we do not necessarily make time to cook breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  More times than naught, we rely on McDonald’s, Chick-Fil-A, Subway, Burger King, and other fast food restaurants to provide us something to eat.  After a while, you will eventually find yourself getting tired of the same old thing, thus not getting the proper nutrients and minerals that you would need.  With this being said, this is why taking appropriate supplements and vitamins are critical to help with what you don’t get in what you eat.  Spiritually, the Holy Spirit sent me your way on this beautiful day to let someone that God the Father can and will provide you the best things to eat! Just in case you don’t believe it, allow Psalm 81:10 from the New Living Translation to bless you!

This particular psalm is attributed to Asaph.  Here, Asaph records some of the thoughts of the Father in this psalm.  Within the 10thverse, Asaph records God the Father saying this: “For it was I, the LORD your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt.” Many of you may have never been to Egypt, but you have had some “Egyptian experiences!” You have been caught up in captivity by something or someone! You were captured by wrong feelings! You were captured by things that were done to you! You were captured by the past! Through the things you were captured by, God has rescued you from your “Egyptian experiences!” God has set you free and desires that you and I would soar to the greatness He has in store for us!

Then, Asaph records God saying this in closing this scripture: “Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things.”  Do you ever recall feeding your baby, niece, nephew, godchild, grandchild, etc. and you told them to open wide? You did that because you were making sure that they would have the appropriate nutrients and the right amount of food to eat! God is saying today to open your mouth up wide and He will fill it with good things! He will fill your mouth with the words of praise! He will fill your mouth with the words of encouragement for your brother/sister! He will fill your mouth with the words of enlightenment for you or someone else! He will fill your mouth with His Spirit! He will fill your mouth with His Word so that you can be a capable minister/servant of His! He will fill your mouth with whatever good thing you would need in order to survive and make it!

In closing today’s message, are you ready to partake of the good things that God has in store for you? If so, then spiritually “open up your mouth wide” and watch Him do His thing! If you are not ready, then keep your mouth closed! It’s time out for junk and it’s time in for anointing and the GREATER that’s inside of you!
