Scripture: Matthew 15: 30-37
“What do you have?” This is the essence of the question that Jesus asked the disciples when they told him to send the people away because they needed to be fed. “How much bread do you have?” (Matthew 15:34)
God has given each of us a purpose. We were born with it. And He also created us unique, with the talents, giftings and inclinations that we need to fulfill our purpose. But so often when God begins to move us forward toward our destiny we look outside of ourselves.
We begin to compare ourselves with others. And if we are not careful we devalue our gifts and abilities. We adopt the mindset that we are not enough. But achieving our purpose begins with the things that God has deposited in us.
God uses earthly raw materials as the main components of His miracles. Does He have to? No. But He longs to work in partnership with us. So as you look up, look in. Look at the gifts God has given you, your talents and abilities. Ask yourself what do you have? Accept and declare that the God of the universe designed you on purpose, for His purpose. Ask God to change how you see yourself, your strengths and abilities. And see who you are and what you have through God’s eyes.
I declare, that what you have, if you honour it and bring it to God, He will multiply it to feed a multitude.
Prayer: Father, thank you for creating me as I am. Help me to see myself as you see me so that you can use me for your glory.
